The caller initially asked for my son by name, when I said he wasn't home, the caller said, well I really wanted to talk to you. Caller said they were with Police and something that I couldn't understand and went on to describe they what they wanted money for and asked if they sent me an envelope would I send a check. I asked what was the agency they were looking for money for and there was a long silence and finally they asked what? I asked again what was the name of the agency? They said it too fast again, so I asked again, and then he quickly said Police and Trooper Support to which I acknowledged. So I said yes I would donate. He asked what amount that I was comfortable with and he gave me some options. After telling him what I was comfortable with he thanked me and said he was going to transfer me and that I should stay on the line. I was transferred to a woman who asked for my credit card info. I said that I was told an envelope would be sent to me and she said, "we don't need the security code on your credit card". I told her no and hung up. I'll also mention that I got another phone call from the same area code (920) about an hour later, but didn't answer.
