I needed to change my credit card number for renewal of my webroot subscription with bestbuy. This proved to be difficult. So I got on the web, and found this company, who claimed they were webroot (from the geek squad).

Well, they were not. The guy called David (either Indian or Pakistani) was very nice on the phone, and improved the layout on my computer. He took it over using a program called ultraviewer. He charged $39 for extending my subscription for 1 year. The payment went through.

Well, the subscription was not extended.

He has pulled this scam before as reported on Bizpedia Mary A S, Pittsburg PA was scammed on Dec 6, 2021 out of $220
