I was selling my apple watch on facebook and the person named Brittney Dice wanted to purchase it. I requested money from Paypal and "paypal service" sent me a pdf saying that there needs to be a tracking number in order to receive the funds. I printed a tracking number and gave it to them and then I got another email from paypal service saying that "We encountered a problem crediting your account because the status of your account shows that your account is not a business account which makes your account have a limit." In the same email it also says, "To fully expand your account into a business account, contact the buyer of your item to send an additional payment of $255 into your paypal account to expand your limit. As soon as this is done, we will credit your account with the total sum, an alert has been sent to your buyer in regards to the 255 additional payment she has to send, we will secure this transaction with high priority that neither the buyer nor the seller will lose a dime in this transaction." I did not think anything of it because the emails seemed so legit, I sent the 255 via zelle and uploaded proof so that way I can get my funds through paypal. I didn't receive my funds through paypal and figured it out that it was a scam.
