I was contacted by Platinum Debt Services in March of 2019. They sold me on a student loan forgiveness qualification through Obama's presidency that forgives student loans significantly greater than low income in three fields with teaching being mine. I signed a contract after looking into their business, emailed the rep, gave banking information with a $199 down payment to start with 8 years at $30 per month automatic withdraw from my account. After 14 months of withdraws at $30 each plus the down payment, Covid hits, my withdraws stop, and come to find out it was all a scam. I still am over $92,000 in debt, with interesting building on my $80,000 debt all this time. I lost hundreds, have even more debt, damaged credit, and am further behind than when I started.
