I have received the letter about Revolutionary New mortgage plan, many people have reported this letter in different counties across the country.. some county had advice people about this SCAM

I got one of those dumb azz letter from this scammer also after my refi, I sent it back alright i cant wait for them to receive it, i gave them some choice words. Do not give your info to these scammers, obvious scam.

Received same letter today, sounded hinky, found this site THANK YOU!

Received four letters all at once today. They all appear to be from the same scammer, but the return envelopes are vague and include the following: "Mortgage Protection Plan" in Palatine, IL; "Mortgage Protection Division in Palatine, IL"; Planned Security" in Jackson, MS; and one with just a PO Box ("Send Request to: PO Box 1170 Owasso, OK 74055). Each indicates I should have received a letter already and have NOT YET ENROLLED. I know better, however, I feel like this approach is meant to prey upon the elderly citizens. They do a good job listing your mortgage lender and making it look like the info is from your lender. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO. One of the letters includes the name "Gabriel Ericson-Singh." A little bit of homework tells me he is an insurance agent for AMERICO FINANCIAL LIFE & ANNUITY INSURANCE COMPANY in Schaumburg, IL.

I'm assuming they purchased information from Keller Williams Mortgage, found what I owe on a new property, and sent a very suggestive letter leading me to believed I was in breach of contract if I did not immediately send back my information for them to call me. After a more thorough review, the letter was an attempt to provide death insurance for the loan I'd just taken out, however, the fine print states, "this is not a solicitation." which reinforced the original theory that this was a demand letter for breach of contract.

The company does not actually list their name in the letter. It can only be found in the pre-paid postage envelope enclosed along with the letter.

The RE: line will be your bank, however this letter is not from your bank (I made sure to check with them).

It includes a sense of urgency regarding your home mortgage, saying that you could be missing out on information regarding mortgage payments in the event of disability or unemployment.

Letter received a week after refinanced my mortgage. States I did not respond to a previous notice to enroll in a mortgage protection program. Funny I never received a notice & the letter states I have a short time to enroll. But fine print states "not an application for coverage". No website,no phone #-no way to contact any reputable company. Did a search of "Planned Security, Jackson MS" and not much found out there. So this does appear to be a Pfishing scam. I will be reporting this letter to my Mortgage holder.
