They use a job searching website to get your e-mail; a lady named Mary Peturo contacted me with a job offer as an Online Account Manager. She asked me for my resume. Two days later, she returned to me stating that my application was considered and sent me over a Job description. After I accept that job description, she sent me over a contract. I have my wife to read, and it looked legit. I signed it and sent it back with a photo of my ID. So far, nothing was suspicious. The day the training was supposed to start, I received a mail that the company would send me money and that the task was to withdraw it and make a deposit in a designated Bitcoin ATM. It turned even more suspicious when Mary Peturo told me that they would send me not sure how much cause I did not go through with it that far sounded too good to be true. Sending money to someone that just got hired made me realize this is too good to be true. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable with that task and asked for alternative training. No answer. There was no communication back about it.

A search for similar scams turned up the first entry above (thank you !) so I did not go as far as the point of sending resumes etc.

I have some friends and my sister to read, and it looked legit. I signed it and sent it back with a photo of my ID. So far, nothing was suspicious.

The day the training was supposed to start, I received a mail that the company would send me money and that the task was to withdraw it and make a deposit in a designated Bitcoin ATM. It turned even more suspicious when Mary Peturo told me that they would send me CAD 3,000. That's a lot of money for someone you just hired.

I told her that I didn't feel comfortable with that task and asked for alternative training. She muted me or lost connection during the phone call. She never got back to me by email as well.
