Caller said he was with the funeral home handling a family member's service. Said he needed the $500 insurance deposit or they would have to push the funeral back. When I said we were not told anything about that fee he stated again without the deposit, they couldn't move forwarded and they needed it NOW. He asked if I could do bank to bank transfer and then asked if I had Zelle and then I knew it was a scam. Asked for his number so I could call back and he gave me a different number than what he called from (they spoofed the funeral home's real number). I called the real funeral home and they said this also happened to another family recently.
