I follow Framar on Instagram. They are a supplier of foils, color brushes etc for hair stylists. They come out with new foil patterns seasonally. The post that got me was one saying to sign up to win a box of their newest, sold-out Halloween pattern. After filling out my information it asked for a credit card to do a $1.00 charge. After that I was redirected to a site for online books. Nothing related to what I was originally looking at. A week later I was charged $39.99 for membership that I never authorized. When I called the number associated with the charge, a foreign person answered. I told him I was scammed and wanted my money back. That I never authorized the charge, nor did I want or need a book/magazine membership. He said he’d terminate my membership and I should get t refund within 30 days. (It’s funny how they can take money out right away, but they can’t give it back in the same way.)
