I received a call on my mobile from # with local area code - 516-715-6779. I didn't answer. I then got multiple text messages asking if I was a person - the name of my daughter. This # called and texted several times. I ended up answering the phone and they asked if I was name of my daughter. I did say yes thinking I could learn what this caller was looking for.

Then I learned there is a phone scam called "just say yes" or something similar - so I'm thinking it was something like that. Since I picked up the call and said yes they haven't called or texted me again. So it seems to have been the say yes scam type.

I am taking precautions I found on this site and others to protect my accounts, but am worried there something bad than can happen because I picked up the call.
