I got a text message from this number14092092059, Saying if I was available for an interview via Skype to talk to a Ms Martha Hurt on Skype regarding job application. That they had found me in my local Workforce website . I don't remember ever applying for them, but I was curious. They wanted me to purchase a checksoft machine and that they would be reinburse me. I dont even have money to buy my dog food , let alone make a purchase like that. That they are builidng offices in McAllen and will be ready in 4 months. And that for right now I will be supplied with the equipment to work from home until the offices are ready. Yet they dont want to supply me with the checksoft machine thing as well. And then she ask me if I have a copy of my W2 from another company , and to forward it to her, that she needs it for verification purposes. Like why would you need that? It doesnt make sense. This is her Skype message

I need you to email a copy of the W2 form to [email protected]

Yeah, It seemed legit at first, but it just didnt feel right what she was asking later. Especially that when I told her that I don't have money to but the machine, she immediately tells me that they would send me a check so I can purchase the software, and that , that is the reason they need my W2. Like, nope. I have the chat saved in my Skype and the number from which they called. So yeah, it most definetly sounds like a scam.
