A Mr. Harold Dean who works for Phathom Pharmaceuticals reached out to me to apply for a job position doing data entry work from home. He would only conduct the email online and never spoke to him in person. He had good reasons for this as we were messaging. WIthin 15 min after the interview concluded I received another message via Skype that I was a perfect fit and would love to offer me the position. I accepted and agreed to be online the following morning at 8:00am to start my first day and training. I was told I would be receiving a check where I was to keep $100.00 as a bonus hire and to deposit the rest in my bank and when it cleared within 24 hours I was to take the rest of the money out to give to a vendor that would supply me with software I would need to add to my computer to work from home. I was beginning to get skeptical and then received a check for $3,984.88 today that he wanted me to deposit immediately so we could get things started. I set up a meeting with my professional banker because there was no way I was going to use my personal bank account to deposit that check in. She sat with me and did research in front of me and not only was it NOT from Phathom Pharmaceuticals, it was from a Beach Shore shop that had nothing to do with anything and they could not find Mr. Howard Dean as any such employee for the company he claimed to work for. They told me they believed it was a scam and even if I were to open another account with my name for that business only and it was fraud, it would effect my legitimate personal banking account. Shocking when I returned home and started messaging Mr. Dean about the situation he sounded shocked and that he was going to contact someone. And of course I have not heard from this person since.
