Contacted via my resume on Ziprecruiter by someone named Emily Carlson at [email protected]. These people promised to get me a check for 1500.00 if I would give them my bank account information and home address so I could purchase office equipment I would need for the job through a supplier they have a contract with and I could keep any money left over (expected to be 300.00). I was told to create a Google Hangouts account and contact the interviewer at the [email protected] address. This was the first one of these scam emails I received and didn't know at the time it is a scam. I did give them my home address but not my bank account information and they fedexed me what they said was a check. I received the FedEx but didn't open it. I still have it. They also texted me from 765-249-1008. They repeatedly contacted me through Google Hangouts wanting to know if I had deposited the check. They also kept insisting I deposit it through a mobile app and not mail it in. They didn't get any money but they tried.
