I contacted a Tasha Brenda on Facebook about a dog she was giving away. It was on a local site but she then said that she had moved to CO for work & would need to ship the dog. All I needed to pay way the shipping & owner transfer fees. Things seemed fine then suddenly transport company via email needed an additional $550 (that they would refund all but $10 in cash at delivery) in order to transport the dog. Thought it was odd especially when they wanted me to pay via Zelle but rolled with it. The payment wouldn’t go through. They provided another Zelle account with extremely sketchy info. The payment again wouldn’t go through. At this point I found it very odd & was concerned that the puppy was in an unsafe place so I contacted Tasha. She didn’t respond concerned about the company more that I needed to hurry and pay this amount. I explained that I couldn’t find information about the transport company, that they wouldn’t call me & thought it was sketchy. Oddly she could talk with the company which then tries to have me pay via Venmo (again didn’t work) so they resorted to wanting Amazon gift cards. The company would email with me but not talk with me though they were talking with her & both were just pushing me to hurry & saying that I was abandoning this dog. Which I truly hope I did not abandon a dog but this situation was very sketchy. I believe that the whole thing may have been her working alone or with a few other people. The information I provided at the top is the address she placed on the ownership transfer paperwork. The website is what she provided after I stated that I could not find info about the company online. On the transfer paperwork the company is referred to as “Holly Wood Service,” “Express Home Delivery” and Bureau of pets and livestock department Carrier Florida - all of which when I tried to search didn’t make sense. I was able to get the money ($165 & $150) returned because it was pending in my bank account whom I contacted as soon as I was confide I was being scammed.
