I was selling a recliner, and the party said they would send a cashiers check. When it arrived it was for much more than the cost of the chair. I told them they sent too much, and they said to deposit to Wells Fargo the amount over the cost of the chair. I deposited their check to my account, and a day later I withdrew the monies they sent that were too much and deposited to well fargo. Later the original cashiers check bounced and they never communicated with me again, leaving me with the deficit to cover. Unfortunately my bank Chase cancelled my account, for which I am trying to at least not have them report to credit agencies as they threatened. I did make good the amount of money that was stolen.
