My husband and I were looking for australian shepherd puppies. We found this website and inquired about one of their dogs. We got an email reply back about the dog we were interested in and where they were located and if needed shipping was available. We corresponded for about 2 weeks. We had decided on a puppy and wanted to purchase her. He told us how we needed to pay for her through Paypal. Once she was paid for he got the shipping arrangements made with American Pet Transport (another scam company). We had the date of shipment and was told that once the puppy was checked in at the airport we would get a travel itinerary. The morning of the shipment we received an email from the shipping company that our puppy was on hold because they needed insurance money and that it would be 100% refunded once the puppy was delivered. So I quickly paid the insurance money wanting our little girl to get on her plane with no issues. I emailed the owner and asked what this extra cost was all about and why didn't we know about it before. He responded that the shipping company had just told him that our payment was being confirmed and that our puppy would be on board and that the money would be completely refunded. Then mid-morning we received another email from the shipping company saying that she had landed in Chicago (she was coming to Denver) and the pet transport department at Chicago determined that she needed a different crate due to adverse weather conditions and that she had come in contact with other animals and needed a vaccine. And that if we delayed too long she would have to stay in quarantine in Chicago. We so desperately wanted our puppy so we did what we needed to do and sent the money for the crate and the vaccine. Also was told that all of that money would be completely refunded once we had the puppy in hand. They texted me that she was on board and was still scheduled to be delivered at a certain time at our house. I asked multiple times what flight she was on and they would never tell me. I emailed the owner several times and as the day went on, he quit responding to my emails. The texts from the shipping company started to get a little weird and very vague. My heart sank as I realized that we had been scammed. We would not be getting a puppy and we were out a lot of money.
