Called saying they were from Pepco and we were behind on payments $300. When I called back they said they were cutting off our electricity in 30mins if we didn’t pay the balance of $481.11. Have our home address and phone number no name or details. When I called back the cursed and hung up. Scammers using Pepco.

the lady left a paper in the door with a phone # related to Evelyn Hill and it matched her email address as well. not the phone # for pepco. EGHill@protonmail.com

when PEPCO was notified they said it was Phising.

this was the 3rd attempt. the first time i followed the instructions and got the card from walgreens and paid them. unbeknownst to me. the next day they called back demanding more money. i canceled the account and no deposit was made. Robbery.

they are dangerous please don’t reveal my identity.

i got a call from pepco stating, my electric meter is going to expire today and needs to be replaced or electric would be cut off. i should have received 2 letters warning me of this. i would need to pay a 475 dollar deposit at green dot. called pepco to verify .

My elderly, disabled mom was called by a man posing as the Pepco utility. He said he had a confirmation number to give her but he needed some information off the bill. My mom said she didn't have the bill land that he just needed to give her the confirmation number. He mentioned a bill that been passed by the legislature to reduce bills I've the summer months. Later he said for 12 months. He said the call was being monitored. We repeatedly asked for the confirmation number. He started getting impatient and condescending. On the one hand he said he didn't need the bill but in the other hand kept asking for it.

Man called stating he was from Pepco and he had a disconnect notice for our companies old address. I told him that we didn't use Pepco, and he said that they owned the meters. They were coming out in 20 minutes to disconnect unless we paid 490.00. I asked for the phone number and his name along with a reference number, and I would call him back once I confirmed the information. At that time he hung up. Reported to Dominion Power.

I received a call from a man name Michael from Pepco. He told me that I owed 3 months of electricity bill for both home and business. Then he told me that I must pay in them in amount of $986.00 within 45 minutes or they will cut off both electricity at home and business. He gave me instruction to go to Safeway to buy a prepaid card Reloadit (white card) to pay them off. Then he asked me for some personal information and I gave it to him because I was afraid that they would cut off my electricity during my business hour. He gave a phone number to send fax to them to pay. Then he gave me his fax number 888-481-7773.

This person, called and said they were from PEPCO saying my power was going to be shut off. I called PEPCO and they said that my account is in good standing. I called back and he (thick Indian accent) he was very rude and hung up on me.
