I bought a puppy from Penny Turner at Labradoodles For Adoption. I needed to pay $375 up front and the balance would be due on delivery. They sent me an adoption application I had to fill out and scan back to them. Once they confirmed I had paid them then I received the tracking information from the pet shipper called pet runners logistics to ship it from Memphis. Got an email that they would be stopping in Des Moines Iowa to deliver other puppies before continuing on to Duluth Minnesota. Then I got an email saying they had arrived in Des Moines and that my puppy was weak and needed a shot and that I had to pay another $650 for a special crate and the shot. When I refused they said that they couldn’t ship her the rest of the way. I told them that I wanted a refund of my insurance then and I also contacted Penny Turner asking her to cover the $650. She said she couldn’t but that it was something my puppy needed. I refused and said I would drive to Iowa to pick up the puppy and asked where I would find it. She said at the airport. I said I would drive the next day. They said I couldn’t pick the puppy up until Monday because the pet center at the airport was closed until then. I then called the airport to ask if they had a pet center there and was told no. I tried calling Penny and the number was no good. I tried messaging both Penny and Per Runners Logistics and my messages would not go through. I was scammed. I then checked the Labradoodles For Adoption Facebook site and now it wasn’t Pennys name as the admin but a different woman. I did report it to Facebook that it was a scam site.
