Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Someone called my business telling me that they were from Penelec and said that they haven't received a payment for the past 3 months and they are turning off my service in the next 45 minutes. I checked my accounts online and the bills were paid every month and the checks cleared. The man said I had to call the main office at 18009166232 he said his name was John Silva. I did and this man kept arguing with me and trying to get information from me. I told him I wanted to speak to a supervisor and he said he was one. I ask him where they were located and he said in Pennsylvania and hung up on me. All of the people I spoke to there had accents like Mexican or Indian. The original number that called me was from William Anderson at 453-0222 I'm sure of the area code it didn't show up but my business area is 724. I did call Penelec to make them aware and they said that they have received several calls from people about this scam.

I am not sure this type of scam but the caller said they were from Penelec and wanted to verify that I received the rate changes. They ask if I was Charles Treher. I said yes and they hung up.

I suppose when I said yes they will use that recording to say that I bought some item or service and I will get a bill.
