Pell Pandemic Grant Reports & Reviews (1)

- Chicago, IL, USA

I was initially contacted by someone who appeared to have the email address of my university. This email contains a link to a website that had an application to the "Pell Pandemic Grant." On the website they asked for my first and last name and a copy of my drivers license.

I was then contacted by a "Trent Parker" via a completely different email address than the initial one, congratulating me on receiving my grant and asking for more personal information including my SSN and an address to send the grant check. After inputting personal information, I was texted by said Trent Parker via the (541) phone number once again congratulating me on my grants and asking me to verify who I was and making sure I understood the process I was undergoing.

He then proceeded to send me a check. When that check never cleared, he informed me that he would send another check, which also never cleared. He then asked for personal banking information to send a direct deposit to one of my accounts. A few days later I received another check that was sent directly to my bank with "direct deposit" written on the memo line.

Since the last check had been sent, I have not contacted Trent Parker, but he continued to text and call me for another week afterwards asking me to reply to him.
