A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from my school about becoming a mystery shopper. I thought it sounded great since I need some extra cash, so I signed up. A few days after that, this guy named David Bodin, MBA emailed me that I had been selected to be apart of his team. I needed to confirm my mailing address so that they could send me my assignment. The first email ended with "Impact Metrics Inc", but included the website www.pebblesurveys.com. He then emailed me again, telling me that my assignment had been shipped. This emailed ended with "Pebble Survey Inc". Today (August 4th) I received a letter (mailed on July 26th but in a 2-day priority mail package) from Robert Collins, who lives in New York. I opened it and inside was a check for $2500 and instructions. This check is from Tuscon, Arizona. The instructions state that I am to put this check into an active (they make this very clear) bank account and text the number once I've done so. They told me that I have to go to the post office, buy 2 $1000 dollar mail orders and 10 books of stamps. I then have to mail everything back to them, but I get to keep the $300. They said that if I do this within 48 hours, I will receive an extra $200. This all seemed kind of sketchy since the company is supposedly in NY and the bank their using is in AZ, so I had my brother-in-law fact check the check I received and he said it was a fraud and would definitely bounce. Always do your homework before getting frauded into these situations! I can't imagine what they would have tried to do if I put the check into my bank account.

got an email about a secret shopper opportunity, filled out a very short application and got an email reply in about a week saying I was accepted, and to confirm my address. I replied to the email asking them to tell me my name since it was not included in the email. I got another email a few days later saying my first "job" was in the mail. it came priority mail, with a check for $2500.00 and instructions to deposit the check and call a number so restrictions could be lifted from the check. I was then supposed to go to my local post office and text "David" from the parking lot, and wait for him to reply. if I didn't hear from him in 5-10 min. I was to continue the survey as written, to buy 2 $1000.00 money orders and 10 books of stamps. once I was done, I was to get in touch with "David" and he would walk me thru filling out my survey and how to send the money orders, stamps, receipt and paperwork to him. the check was for $25000.00, and the letter that came with it broke down how the money was to be used: $2000.00 for money orders, $300.00 for me to keep, $100.00 for stamps, and $100.00 in shipping costs. that equals out to $27000.00. It also stated that I would get an extra $200.00 bonus with the next check for completing within 48 hours
