Tried to buy a Papillon puppy online - found peachpupshome.com with very cute pics and a lot of information about the dogs and the “breeders”. I tried to buy one, transferring $800 using the app, CASH. I received a detailed Bill of Sale for “Drake”, and instructions for shipping. However, the shipping company, EMS-Translogistics, wanted an additional $1700 for insurance, that was FULLY REFUNDABLE upon delivery of the dog....hmmm. I called ems-translogistics, a REAL company - they denied knowing anything about this arrangement, nor do they ship animals. At this point I realized I had been scammed. I had provided them information about myself, had sent picture ID to the “shippers” who needed it to confirm delivery to the right address/location. I also provided my social security number and signature so they could be included on the Bill of Sale - which appeared to be legitimate. Had I been a little more skeptical I could have avoided being scammed, but I was buying a new puppy, WITH MY HEART, not my head... I don’t understand how these thieves can still operate on the internet. They are known scammers - why is their website, peachpupshome, still online, selling the same dogs and duping others like myself, who are just trying to find a new pet. FYI everyone - a true Papillon puppy will cost $2,000 or more, even a mixed breed will run $1,000-1,200. BUYER BEWARE!!
