Received a letter in the mail from "Peace Health Hospital" claiming they are having issues billing for my baby's ER visit several months ago (letter looked very official). The letter is requesting "updated" insurance information with a persons phone number to contact. Since my insurance denied the claim due to having incorrect insurance info at the time (this is also true). I however knew that I had handled the ER visit payment and insurance denial problem 2 months ago. So I called the hospital directly as well. They had NO RECORD of anyone contacting me. And nothing in my sons file claiming that his visit was still in the process of getting billed. It had all been handled 2 months prior.

The letter sent to me also included what looked to be screen shots of the hospitals "medical billing records" for my son. These documents did include my sons full name, birth date and the actual correct day of the ER visit.

We called the number provided on the letter thinking this was real, but the voice mail machine sounded weird. Which is why we continued to call Peach Health directly.

The envelope also looked very odd as well. It had the return address of the correct hospital that we went to, but it was actually postmarked "Cincinnati OH 450" zip code 45044. This is weird because I've been in contact many times with this hospital (only 25 minutes from my house) all mail and people I've worked with have been local, even over the phone and over email.

I'm not uploading the documents because they include the personal information listed above. However, if it would be beneficial I am happy to scratch out private information and send it as well.
