Consumer received email indicating that the consumer had a computer service (unsure what type of computer service) that was going to automatically renew and that consumer needed to call the business to discontinue it. No email account shows up - just the name of the business. Consumer called the company and the business rep answered (Alex Johnson, ID #WRD2456) said they needed to cancel their service that day or the cost would be $399.99 and it was only valid that day to not have it debited from their account. Consumer allowed access to computer to remove the service and give back the money and the consumer needed to download from sites to get that accomplished. The downloads were suppose to help the business rep move around on the computer. Downloads from two sites were used: teamviewer.com and awesun.com. The downloads were completed. They asked consumer to pull up the website for their bank. Consumer pulled up thir bank website. Business rep said the business computer system went down (Chase Bank) and could not take care of it at that time. The following morning the business rep called again and got back on the computer - he had the consumer pull up their bank account online. The screen went blank for a while. Business rep asked consumer to do the transfer and consumer supposedly did it incorrectly - consumer thinks the business rep did the transfer. The amount was $10,000 instead of $100. Consumer said their bank screen showed the credit in their account rather than a debit but then it disappeared. The business rep got upset and said they had to get the money back to them. He wanted it immediately and they said they could not provide the money immediately. Consumer hung up at that point. Business rep called back and consumer did not pick up.
