PC Support Reports & Reviews (12)

I just received an automated message stating- the 9.00 a month I pay for computer protection will expire in 48 hours - if not to hurry amd call for reimbursement.

I called the number provided in the voicemail because I don’t have a computer- especially don’t pay 9 a. Month for protection.

When I called back, the man spoke so fast and it was obvious English was not his primary language. When I asked him to repeat what he said he hung up. I found that very offensive , so I called back- when I did I could hear all these voices n background laughing etc... so I said I just rec’d a call and he said so you don’t have. Computer ma’am? I said do you have a name rhT goes with this cell number? He said no. I asked name of company business- he did t answer u til 3 rd time I asked- then he said PC PROTECTION... so I started to ask what card I had been paying tha 9 dollars (cuz I no longer have a PC) before I said 3 words he hung up

I’m my fave again! I goggles the company name there is no such thing/ and I don’t want any naive person giving their personal info to person claiming to be protecting their computer but don’t even have our names when calling us. PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE CHDCK THE VALIDITY OF THIS GROUP OF PPL/ I knew in my gut it wasn’t legitimate and he knew I knew that’s why he hung up in my face-

I have never been on ScamPulse.com SITE EVER- but this is an absolute SCAM

They stated I needed to be in front of my computer to get a refund. I told them that I didn’t have a computer and I have never used their services and how could they do that when their systems crashed ; they hung up on me

I got a call from PC Support. It was an Indian Man who said his name was William. His supervisor is John Mauer. They say I owe $199 for computer services. He said my account would be charged.

Was on my computer when a major warning regarding a deadly virus had infected my computer and gave a phone number to call immediately!!! I was stupid and called. From there, it just got worse. I was stupid again and gave access to my computer and agreed to pay 229.99 dollars through my checking account to get the virus removed and my computer running again. Needless to day, I never did hear from them for a long time. Recently, the message appeared again but I shut down my computer instead of falling for it again. Just the other day, I received a call from them saying that I would receive my fee back because they were blending with AT&T and they would not allow any service policies to be utilized through them so they had to refund my amount after 1/12/19. I have been checking my account every day and it has not shown up. I have called numerous times and each time the time date was extended for one reason or another. Today I contacted them again and was told that their server was having problems connecting with my bank's server and that I would have to buy a Google $100.00 gift card and that my refund would be on there. When I refused to purchase the gift card I was told that I was out of luck and would not be getting the refund. I told them that I was reporting them to the BBB and they just laughed at me. Don't fall for this scam.

Automated voicemail that says,

"Has been expired. To renew the contract there will be a charge of $1500

which will be debited from your account. In case you do not want to renew

the contract you can cancel the contract by calling on 805-232-5565. I

repeat the number is 805-232-5565."

Message received on 08/30/2018, 11:32AM (Unknown). Length 27 seconds.

Caller: (805)232-5565. Called:

So I called the member to see what kind of contract they were talking about. He said my PC would be compromised if I didn’t renew. I never had a contract with anyone to protect my PC. The man with an Indian accent was threatening that my account was going to be automatically debited unless I filled out his form to officially cancel.

I had calls from guys with Indian accent.

One caller claimed my microsoft will crash - want to send a link

one caller said I paid $199 subscription for PC support - the credit card needs to be cancelled and we refunded.

Onother caller said the same. when I said just send the link to my cell, he put the phone down.

It seem they you to click on their link in order to access your computer - not good!

hopefully they get caught.

They continue to call me demanding access to my computer. I have blocked many phone numbers from them and they continue to contact me. They have various stories as to why they need to access my computer. The last one is to give me a refund if they can access my computer.

Computer was locked up by outside entity. Could not close out message. Looked like a message from ISP. Called number and they took control of computer. Had tax info on it . Cost $200.00 to supposedly clean computer and give control back to me.

Popup stating it was from Comcast and there was a Major virus on the computer. It was not Comcast and she paid $300 to fix the computer.

They call periodically and tell me my computer is generating lots of errors and they need to link in help me correct this.

I let them on once and they locked up my computer. I purchased a new computer and new software (which I needed anyway). I never gave them a credit card number.

Now they are still calling. I have asked to be taken off. They still keep calling. I have called them back several times today and they answer.

A man from a company offering computer support called urgently telling me to go to my computer so he could help me. My computer was at risk for being hacked and his company was contracted through Windows to help customers fix the problem. I told him I did not call for help with the computer and was not going to talk with him about it. He insisted I needed to go to the computer and that he was doing nothing illegal. He asked if I did have a Windows computer. I said no. He said that was impossible because he was told to call me. I told him I had had calls like this before and asked to be removed from the call list. When I asked where his company was located, he told me California. I asked why the phone call was coming out of Canada. He avoided the question and urged me to go to the computer. I told him I was not talking to him anymore and hung up.
