After receiving at least 10 to 15 pop-up messages on my laptop over approximately 6 week time, none of which I clicked onto, but saying that my computer may have viruses and needed to be updated. Then I received a phone call from a man on 2-10-18 with a foreign accent telling me he was calling from Colorado from a company called "PC Help Post". He asked me if I was receiving these types of pop-ups. He said for a fee of $279.00, he could rid my computer of any viruses including creep-ware install anti-hacking tools and other protections, and remove all errors, warnings, and bad software. He said a problem was coming from Network IPv4 and there were currently 18 hackers on my computer. He sounded like he knew what he was talking about. I agreed to pay the total of $281.04 with my credit card. He then put me through to what he referred to as a Level 5 technician who I spoke with. He took information relative to my computer and told me not to use it for the next three hours while he allegedly worked on it. Later they emailed me an invoice which said that I would see the charge on my credit card statement appearing under the name of PES*NICEPCPARTS.COM Then seven months later, on 9-20-18, I received a call from a man with a foreign accent claiming to be from PC Help Post. He advised me that PC Help Post was going out of business and being shut down, and the IRS and ScamPulse.com had instructed them to return my $281.04 to me. He wanted me to open my computer and he would send me a form to fill out. I told him that I would not open my computer and that he can simply email the form to me. He refused, stating the only way he could get the form to me is if I open my computer. I again refused to give him any information off my computer. I told him that I feel I was scammed out of $281.04, that they did nothing to fix my computer, and that they stole personal information from my computer. Therefore, I am reporting this to the ScamPulse.com and the FBI.
