The gentleman named Pedro called me and told me he represented funders. He said he was from New York, represented people funding nonprofits that just needed to find the nonprofit to give it to. They had researched our nonprofit and mentioned a lot of other funders they had found. There was no mention of a product, and he denied it was a sales call. They had me convinced that I had missed some funding that was left on the table, and I spent over an hour talking with this person thinking he was a funder before I finally heard them mentioned some thing about his “product.” I told them I thought it was a scam and they were lying about who they are and who they represent. They have also continued to send me spam emails and call my phone. Taking time away from a valuable nonprofit commission is one of the worst things you can do. Please make them stop this if you can, thank you!
