I was selling a wedding dress on Facebook. Someone named Donald Gordon messaged me about the dress. He offered to pay more than I had listed the dress for. He told me to use PayPal, which I had never used before. I sent him my PayPal information and then I received an email from [email protected]. The email told me that before I would get the payment for the dress I needed to provide the tracking number. I provided the tracking information and then received another email from the same account. I was told the payment was too high for a personal PayPal account, but too low for a business account. In order to upgrade the account, Donald needed to send me an additional $850. Donald agreed but wanted me to prove first that he was going to get the $850 back. I sent him the $850 via Zelle. I was then told by the PayPal email that I needed to send additional money, which I did not do. I figured out that this was a scam. I was able to get the dress back but not the money.
