Fraud email

I received a email saying a charge was made through my PayPal account that I didn't do. I do not approve of scammers and this makes me not want to use PayPal if there is a way for scammers just to try & hack into people account that work hard for there money.

This is totally fraudulent! It has the same number on the email I received from American Airlines, where a ticket was purchased from "my bank account" but they only want to get into your computer to steal any information. BEWARE!

I received an email from PayPal stating that this merchant was charging my PayPal account for $691.79. I DO NOT HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT. When I called the phone number provided (855-618-0386) to check details of this transaction, I was told that I needed to call a different phone number (917-397-7348). I then spoke with "Steven Roberts" at extension 786 on July 13, 2021 @ 2:15 PM he told me this was for a purchase of an assault rifle. When I pressed him further, he statedthat the PayPal account was tied to a credit card for First Citizens Bank. He then advised me to contact the credit card company and dispute the charge. Since I have no acounts with First Citizens Bank he than said not to worry about this and there would be no charge. I am concerned that someone is trying to purchase a weapon using my information. I am sending a copy of the original email with my notes written on it.
