Type of a scam Debt Collections

Scammer sent an email with a bill number, account number & past due date from 2020 stating that I have an overdue bill for my 16 year old son that's being sent to a collections agency. They had a phone number to call with any questions or to make a payment. I called the number and they asked for my son's birth date and address for account verification. I told them that this was a scam - a bill from 2020 would have been sent to collections years ago. The woman on the other end of the line got flustered & said to disregard the bill. However, I got another bill emailed to me today. I have also gotten a text message with a link to the bill, so they had my phone number & email address. The email has a link to the bill that takes you to a payment screen. The reason I even bothered following up is because they are using "Atrium Floyd Health", which is our local hospital.
