Computer application renewal with threats

I have had computers for over 30 years, and used common security applications. Reminders for renewals are usually via the computer program itself, and never via a third party. This, and the nature of the demand to pay by bankers draft make me suspicious.

Computer application renewal with threats

A telephone caller claimed to represent Anydesk Computer Security service informing me that I owed $2,100.00 for on-line computer security. He claimed to have attempted unsuccessfully to contact me at least a half-dozen times. He claimed to have left messages on my answering machine, and received no reply. He demanded immediate payment by banker's draft to be mailed by express mail. He threatened to automatically renew my computer security service for five years at a cost of over $8,000.00 should I fail to send the money demanded, and should I fail to 'phone 866 982 3542 promptly. I demanded the caller's name, and he said he was James Walter. I have attempted to find the Anydesk security program on my computer but to no avail. I suspect this is a scam because payment is demanded immediately by a banker's draft, and there is a threat to demand more if I refuse to pay up immediately. I also requested written documentation, and was offered only e-mail and telephone.
