I received an email said that I had bought $499.00 of bitcoin. I called the phone number that said it was PayPal. We went through several minutes of discussion and I told the man that I didn’t buy the bitcoin. He finally told me to go to Paypalrefunds.com and enter some information and then said to enter 10900. I did that and sent it. He then told me that he had said that he said that he had said 1090, and I had received $10,900 into my checking account with CEFCU. I told him multiple times that the money was not in my account. He told me that he would get fired if I didn’t send him the money. I again told me he would get fired. He transferred me to his supervisor who repeated the same story. He asked me if we had an Apple store in town, and I told him no. He then asked me if we had a Target. I said yes. Then he said that I should go to Target and buy $9800 of gift cards. At that point, I told him that I knew this was a scam and I hung up on him. He called back and said that we must have gotten off. I told him no that I had hung up on him because he was trying to scam me. He called back again and acted like he was crying. I again told him that I wasn’t falling for this and hung up again. Then today I received a text message saying that that my account was credited for $10,900 from PayPal . And thanked me for using Cefcu bank. There is no money in my account. The men talking had a very heavy accent, possibly Indian. The other phone number that they used was 1-502–483-3344.,
