Email from PayPal..looked legitimate, stating they wanted to verify a $425 charge to my account for Bitcoin purchase. I called phone# provided 802-448-5432 to dispute the charge. Person answering had heavy accent & was hard to understand (red flag). A male person got on phone & had me go to "Any Desk" site. & enter my info. I refused & asked why it was so complicated to remove the charge. He then asked if I lived close to any convenience store like Walmart & instructed me to go there & purchase a money card for $425. I said I couldn't as I had no car & asked why I needed to do this. He answered that that was how I would get my money back! The person then suggested I get a neighbor to take me to get the card. By this time I knew I was being scammed & told him "I may be old, but I'm not stupid!". He hung up on me. I Checked my PayPal account & my credit card & there was no charge for Bitcoins at $495 on either site.

I called pay pal and I do not have an account with them. I have used pay pal as a guest but do not have a checking account or credit card with them. I called 1 539 328 3095 and they wanted me to put something in my computer. I felt uncomfortable about this and told them that. They hung up on me or we got disconnected. Received an E-mail from Sariah Nira on 2/19/22 that there may be a fraud use of my Pay Pal account in the amount of $250.00.

Contact them to verify. Had this happen before by text and checked it out. Said they were from Amazon and was very convincing in the questions they asked and the information they already had. But, tripped up on a question I asked.

After the first email, I blocked them, however, I continue to receive them.

I received an e-mail from Pay Pal supposedly, saying thank you for your order and a purchase of $217.00. I contacted this fake number and told them I didn't have a Pay Pal account so they wanted me to provide my cell phone and credit card info associated with this fake Pay Pal account. That way they said they could refund my money. I didn't provide any info but told them I was contacting the Better Business Bureau 9 since the e-mail showed they had a ScamPulse.com rating of A+.
