I received an email from "Pay Pal" which stated my Pay Pal account was being charged $800.00 + from a firearms company and if this was in error to call a phone number listed in the email. I called that number and they lead me to believe that my computer had been hacked and that I need to call "Microsoft Hacking repair" They provided me a number to call and I (stupidly) did that. After many minutes and supposed transfer to a supervisor I was told that that my computer had been hacked and that I needed to have my software repaired but in order to to this I needed to purchase 5 Microsoft X box card for windows one for each of pieces of soft ware that needed to be fixed and the the and the key codes on these cards would allow them to active the software in my area because they were in California. They then went on to say I could same myself some trouble because I could just buy one Target Card for the entire amount and that would work also. The whole thing got to be very elaborate and I did go and purchase a $500.00 Target Card. However, they called me on my cell phone which listed the phone number as a spam alert and I was able to finally realize that this was a scam with the assistance of my husband and we didn't give them any information on the gift card. They called a few times after I stopped cooperating and threatened to empty our bank accounts. Used the name Melvin ****** ************ **** **** assigned a case number ***********  However I did give them access to my computer via Team Viewer.
