Pawfect British Shorthair Cattery Reports & Reviews (1)
Victim Location 85022
Total money lost $1,200
Type of a scam Online Purchase
We wanted to buy a kitten for our son for his Birthday.
Since we did not find a breeder in our state, to whom we could come and see the kitten in reality, we decided to find breeders online.
We found several websites of the catteries that are located in other states. On one of them we liked the kittens the most.

Their website looks pretty decent and when we spoke with them via email they were also quite polite. We were happy that we could make a great birthday present for our son.
We really liked two of their kittens and we decided to take both. The total amount was 1200 dollars and we agreed, because we really wanted to please our child.
The seller first offered to transfer money through PayPal (sellers PayPal accounts: [email protected] and [email protected] ), but for some reason the money could not be transferred (the PayPal system blocked the transfer without explanation).
Then the seller offered to transfer money through Zelle.

We transferred money and the seller promised that he would prepare all the documents and send the kittens on the next day. And at this time of waiting, we can start preparing our home for the arrival of these cute kittens...
Also we asked to send us some photos of our kittens before shipping. Just put them together and take some photos to smartphone to make sure they are real.
The seller sent us some beautiful photos and videos of the kittens. It was evident that these were previously prepared photographs and videos. But the seller in every possible way dodged to send us pictures taken right at this time.
The seller assured us that he is a decent Chrestian and he never deceives anyone. That he understands that we might be worried about being scammed, but he is very nice and honest.
...I don't know why, but at that time we were so glad that we found a wonderful gift for a child, and completely forgot about vigilance and trusted this person.
Since for the next day the seller has not provided any information about the shipment or the photos I asked for, we began to worry. An I began looking for information in the Internet about scammers with the same company name.
I found this website
https://www.bbb.org/scamtracker (search keywords "British Shorthair Cattery")
where someone says that he was also deceived and mentions the same phone number and email address as the cattery gave me!
I immediately contacted the bank and asked them to cancel the transfer. But the bank replied that the transfer has paid through Zelle and it cannot be canceled!
NEVER PAY THROUGH ZELLE OR PAYPAL TO UNKNOWN PERSON !!!
I tried to solve this problem with the seller, but he dodges in every possible way to send photos or return money. My bank has confirmed that the money transfer is complete and the recipient has already received it. But the seller says that he not received money yet, so can't provide any information.
When we asked for our money back, the seller stopped responding altogether!
We filed a report with the police and the FBI. I see on this site many people are deceived by such scammers (and perhaps many of these scammers are the same person) and we really hope that the perpetrators will be punished!
...Just think - they destroy the hopes of children, which are waiting for this kitten, like some special little cute creature. But these [censored] leave the child with broken hopes, and the parents without money and the opportunity to buy the child something else...
I believe that such people should be punished as much as possible!
