I am selling my vehicle, and someone claiming interest in buying it sends me a text message to the phone number posted in my online ad. They exchange a few questions, then ask me to obtain a vehicle history report specifically through a link that they share. The link forwards to "https://official.vin" which behaves suspiciously, i.e. popping open another window when attempting to fill out the search field. "carlemonchecker.com" and "carbgchecker.com" were given as redirecting links to "official.vin".
