However, our new Senior Program Manager, Mike will be moving from Illinois to Washington, DC with his family by 16th of October and he requires the service of a personal assistant to be responsible for handling his basic errands/bill payments. The P.A will also be responsible for scheduling his appointments, invitations, reservations, and related activities. Your resume fits well so I thought I'd present the opportunity to you if you'll want it. The present opening, however, will not have RET Americas as your employee. You'll work directly for Mike. However if any other permanent opening presents itself at RET Americas, you'll be the first to be considered. For this present duty, a weekly wage of $750 will be paid every Friday. You will be working 4 days in week, 5 hours each day and the work is fully remote.

I got the same exact email after applying for a job on Indeed. It was a job opportunity for an administrative assistant at NiQuan Energy. The company itself seems legit but the job posting wasn’t. I got the same email from “David Potts” about a PA position for “Mike Wheatley” when he relocated in DC in July.

I've never had an experience like this. Should I be worried about a potential brief in personal security? Is there a person I should contact?

Received an employment offer off Indeed.com from HR Manager named Mike Wheatley ([email protected]) for a personal assistant position with Patriot Wellhead in Boston, MA (not to be confused with the company of the same name in Oklahoma). Directed to a Program Manager named Matthew Fancher, claiming to be offering part time work in Fort Worth, Texas. All communication done through phone and email, and only small application form to try to prove employment. Matthew sent checks for around $3500 to victim to cash in personal account, then requested money orders to be sent to Lisa Fink and Tracy Smith (both located at 2106 S Lehigh Ave, Whitehall, PA 18052). First check did not bounce until 3 days after money was sent with no notification to victim until second check was attempted to be deposited on the same day. Matthew cut off all communication after victim reached out for help.
