Career center at a small college shared a part time job opportunity for this place. A student pursued it. All communication came via text. They had a virtual interview, but they didn't even talk, just using chat, text. They wanted the student to equip themselves with technology things. Gave a website: [email protected] to either order or confirm the equipment needed to do the work. The student knew this was wrong, so they stopped and brought it to me. She deleted all communication. She did not share any personal information other than phone number, email, etc. for communication.
