I was looking online for puppies up for adoption and this site came up. I clicked on the sight and found that it had Chow Chow puppies for sale at what I deemed to be a reasonable price. I filled out a brief form giving my contact information. In response I received an email, requesting some additional information from me to see if I was a good choice for the adoption of one of their puppies. I provided the additional information, Shortly thereafter I received another email stating that I was a good prospect for the adoption of one of their puppies. They sent me the name of one of their puppies and a price. I received further instructions to include instructions for transferring money to them via Zelle. I was to transfer $950.00 to Brandon Parry; @ [email protected] with a memo: For Liala 00456. Liala is the name of the "puppy" . I transferred the money on Sunday evening (May 8, 2022). My bank initially placed the transfer on hold. I received an email from seller on Monday evening, indicating that he had received the funds transfer. He indicated the puppy would be sent out the following day. Did not hear from seller until late on Tuesday. He indicated that he had had a family emergency and would not be able to ship the puppy until around 11:00 AM Arizonia time on Wednesday. He emailed me on Wednesday afternoon indicating that he had made shipping arrangements. I was provided with shipping information and a tracking number. I thought everything was find until I received a phone call from the shipper: Tran-system Inc. (email address: [email protected]) Phone # 928 260-8363) the persom calling advised me that I had been sent an email and asked me to check and see if I had gotten the email. Upon checking I found that I had received the email. The email contained instruction for and rationale for paying a refundable insurance premium, which was in excess of $1500. I contacted the seller and asked about the e-mail that I had received from the shipper. Her confirmed that the money that they were asking for was for a refundable insurance premium. I did not and will not pay the premium. I have not heard from either the seller of shipper since yesterday. The email regarding the insurance premium is what made me suspect that I have been scammed.
