We purchased a bare-eyed cockatoo name Chaps. We were told that she would be shipped as soon as possible. We received an email saying the bird was at the transportation company, Flash Speed Pet/Animal Dept. Once we received an email that the bird was at Flash Speed, we were notified, by their "Vet" that we had to pay an additional $895 for a special temperature controlled container to be shipped in since she was only 10 months old. We wire transferred the money to an account in India under the name TS Siva Kumar at the Canara Bank, Bangalore Urban. Once the money was paid, we were told the bird was in transit and she would arrive 28 Sep 2021. We then receive another email about the bird being put in quarantine for 30 days because she did not have the right medical certification to avoid quarantine. This "certificate" would cost us an additional $1600. I looked up online and found out that California doesn't have any quarantine rules for birds coming from out-of-state locations. We know we're not going to get our money back, but we want to make sure no one else gets scammed by these people.
