We parked our car at the Parking Lot at 1401 Market St., Denver. at 3:15pm December 11, 2018. We paid $14.00 for the rest of the whole evening. When we returned at 7:05pm, less than 4 hours later, we found a Parking Notice Parking Penalty Fee $75.00 on our windshield, stamped 6:18pm. This is an outrageous over-charge. Now we are threatened with "Default" and "Debt Collection" if we don't pay them $75.00 right away.

I parked my car in the parking lot at 1430 Wynkoop St in Denver around 7pm. The evening fee was $5 and I put a $5 bill in the slot associated with the space my car was parked in. My friend parked right next to me and did the same thing. When we came back to our cars around 10pm I had a ticket on my car but she did not. The ticket was for $75 and claimed that I had not paid the fee. Since this is a cash only parking lot, there was no way to prove that I had paid. I contacted the company (Parking Revenue Recovery) who issued the ticket and was told that I had not followed directions and hadn't paid to park in the lot. They lowered my parking fee to $55 "since this was my first offense" but refused to cancel the ticket. The parking ticket states that they will forward me to a collection agency if not paid within 14 days. I was forced to pay this parking violation fee even though I had already paid the parking fee at the time of use. This is clearly a scam used to force people to pay tickets with no proof whether or not they paid the fee.
