I have been contacted three times from this alleged company. On 7/3/18 I received a voicemail from this company telling me that because I didn't pay them on 6/20/18 the court case against me has been resubmitted to the county court where I live in Bakersfield, Ca. I called the payday loan business I got a loan from and they told me that they don't know who this paramount legal is. They use another company for collections.

I received a voicemail message from someone claiming to be from the county court saying that there was a case filed against me because of an unpaid payday loan. The person told me to call the debt collector to resolve the issue. It turns out that the first number that called me was a fake because the call did not come from the court and there is no case against me because I called the court to verify and they said there were no cases with my name. When I called so called debt collector they told me that I owed approximately $400 and said I could make payments to pay it off. At first I agreed because they said the debt came from a company that I have used. But when I did some research I realized that it was a scam because the debt collector would not give me their address, insisted that I pay with a prepaid card and would not send a written validation notice of the debt in the mail. They said they would only send it in an email and asked for my email address. From the research I did I found out that they have to by law give me their address and send that notice in the mail within 5 days of first contact. Fortunately I did not give them any more info. about me than they already had.
