Scam

I saw an advertisement on fb I applied for the job I completed all the paperwork then they wanted my banking info I would not give it to them then get an alert on my phone that they opened a credit card In my name without my knowledge tried saying they were responsible for the card but its in my name so supposedly order equipment for the job.. I hadto call and report the fraud and cancel the card..

I saw an individual on a neighborhood Facebook site stating her company was hiring for work from home positions. I contacted the person on messenger and she sent instructions to download Google Chat and to make contact with the company by providing an email and interview code. I did follow the instructions, it seemed legit but then I was asked about how much credit card debt I had and what my credit score is, they mentioned that the company helps “pay off credit card debt” then I was asked what banks I use….they wanted to “confirm it tallies with the company’s payment. Without much effort or further questioning I was told that I was a good fit for the position, even though they didn’t know my skills. I was then asked for my name, address, phone #,and email address. I wrote that I wasn’t comfortable providing any information without knowing more about the position and the company. They said “this is a legitimate company. The company is here to offer you a job to benefit you and your family and not take a dime from you. You have nothing to be worried about.”
