I ordered food and drinks here, I was given a receipt to pay for my food and drinks and it included a gratuity charge of over 25% of my bill. I paid 40$ to get in then 100$ to sit at a table, clearly they were ripping me off, I was with my girlfriend just the 2 of us why am I paying a gratuity that is designed for a party of 3 or more, I was told the company has to pay taxes on this mandatory gratuity that I would still have to pay even if I was by myself. I asked for the manager and someone in a security uniform tells me they are the manager, he explained to me that there was a mandatory state regulated gratuity tax because the waiters don’t get tipped enough to serve food. This mandatory gratuity is assessed for each individual, so each person has to pay a gratuity and it’s mandatory. This is what was explained to me and I was refused a receipt of the cost to get in which was 40$ and to sit at the table which was 100$ the only receipt I was allowed to get was this for my food. I was told I paid a gratuity just to sit and eat and there was a tax on how much it cost to get in which cost me 40$ I believe I was scammed from the moment I walked in the door.
