July 2018, I clicked on a pop up MacCleaner and the scammer took control of my computer saying they worked for Apple. Pretending for several hours to clean my computer they did nothing to my computer. The entire time I am telling them I hope this is not a scam. They scammed me for $799.95 under the name Help My Software and another $14.95 under the name Paddle.net*MacCleaner. I have a dispute filed with my financial institution waiting on them to resolve this. Also I notified Apple and they completed a report and fixed my computer to prevent pop ups.
