Received an email that I was the most qualified for a particular position at a company called Pacylex Pharma out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I went online to check if there was such a company and read the info. It seemed legit, and perhaps it is, but the scammers are using it. Next, They asked me to set up a Skype interview, which I did and then went through the interview. They then said that I fit their criteria and offered me the position for Assistant Administrative Manager. They sent another email with the letter of offer and I signed and sent it back. I then was told that they would send me a check to purchase the necessary office equipment as I would be working remotely initially. They sent the check via FedEx Next day. I received the package and opened it. Everything was wrong. Check ($4500) was issued from Geary County in Kansas. The sender's name and company address had nothing to do with Pacylex or Canada. The letter along with the check indicated that I should deposit the check using my mobile app. All Red Flags to me so I called the local police and they said they had similar scams, but not with that name.
