I applied for a position on LinkedIn and was contacted via text message, I was sent a text with a link to apply. The link had me fill out information with my address, age, telephone #, Social Security, number, and a picture of my drivers license, front and back. Then i was sent a link for ID me website and I received a text that I already had verified and then was asked by text for my login and password information to complete application, that’s when I grew suspicious and concerned. The number provided is not a working number when I tried to call supposed recruiter.
