My chromebook stopped working. It displayed a message saying there was a virus and Microsoft license expired, call this number. I called, they claimed to be able to fix it by remotely controlling my main computer. They charged me $227.22 ,I paid by credit card. 2 wks later, they called to say their license had expired and had to refund my money, and uninstall their software. Through remote access they claimed to be uninstalling the software and were going to refund my money through remote access to bank acct. They accessed my bank acct and I saw them move money . I called my bank and blocked them and changed all of my acct numbers. They called again claiming they needed my acct numbers to deposit money. I hung up on them. And called my credit card co. to report fraud.

I received a phone call from a company I have never associated with before. They indicated that due malware on my computer all my Microsoft licenses would be “Stopped “. As such I would be locked out of my computer. The only way to get access is to sign up for their subscription. Once they relinquished access back to me after I agreed to pay $227.22 USD. Before they gave me access they provided an invoice without any company information which I had to provide my credit card and drivers license. I have subsequently cancelled my credit card and set up fraud alerts and opened a case file with the local RCMP.I contacted Microsoft to confirm if they ever have worked with this company, and they do not. When I requested business information from they company they would not provide. I had Microsoft clean off the programs loaded up n to my machine. Subsequently, OZM has continued to call requesting payment. Based on the invoice there is 15 days to cancel to receive a full refund, but there is not any instructions provided on how to cancel. I have verbally communicated to OZM that I do not want their subscription. The date of the scam originated on January 21, 2019 and the subsequent call explained above was on January 23, 2019.

I was on a website and a pop up took over the whole screen saying microsoft detected a virus and to call the 888 number for tech support or your computer will shut down and lock you out. They sounded official and were in my computer saying others had been hacking me and we will go through and clean up any problems and install other safe guards to protect the computer and important information. They sent an invoice with the amount of $222.22 print it, sign it, date it, and fax it back to them with a picture ID. I did not and canceled c.c. with the bank. They have repeatedly called both my land line and cell phones, which I have not answered. Some of the messages are the company is closing and call them back at numerous numbers to claim your refund. Latest message is: We will be taking the money from your c.c if you do not get back to us asap. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!

OZM called to notify me that my computer was compromised and vulnerable. Went through an entire verification process and provided an invoice. I questioned their methodology but they "kind of" proved that malware had entered my computer system.

They said that they were a Microsoft -related independent tech contractor.

I am still not sure if I was scammed or marketed with a legitimate product.
