The scammer contacted me via email after I applied for a job on indeed. The job wasn’t what I thought I applied for and seemed too good to be true. But I figured that I might as well respond since it wasn’t asking for any real identifying information. When I got a response informing me of job details and the pay in regards to minimal work I decided to look into the company. I found almost nothing about them and was eventually able to find a website that was nearly identical to their, except it was obviously the original website that they had stollen. From there I just decided it was best to cease contact with the scammer and inform the original company that their website appearance was being used.
