I replied to an add on craigslist asking if a boat was still for sale and more specifics about the boat. I was contacted by the supposed seller Dr. David Hughes @ the following email address [email protected]. Mr Hughes gave me the information I wanted and told me that he was selling the boat through oursauto.com which is an auto consignment store online. The online website was very legitimate looking. I did not see any obvious website red flags. They wanted me to pay for the boat and then they would ship it to me. They said that I would have 7 days to refuse the item if it was not exactly as described on the website by the seller. I asked to get an appointment to see the boat in their storage facility in Nashville, TN. I wanted to see the boat, validate the boat was exactly as described. I also wanted to pay for the boat and haul it away the same day. I offered to pay bank wire or cash if I could get the boat and paperwork the same day as the payment. They would not let me take the boat the same same. I'm convinced that this is a scam. They got very angry with me and canceled my contract when I tried to validate the details. They would not let me take the boat the same day as I paid.
