Orwox Distributed Warehousing Reports & Reviews (39)

I wrote my experience up under CCL-Orwox. There are many of us there as well. I spoke to the sheriff’s office to cover myself in case I shipped anything illegal in a box I didn’t open and to alert them to what Orwox was doing to hard working honest people. I filed a complaint with FTC. Did not do anything with FBI yet but will.

+1

I was scammed by orwox too. Sylvia Fontana was my manager and recieved no paycheck. I still have a bunch of packages that came with no destination. At this point what do sell them on my own for lost profit?

I posted my review under cal-Orwox. There are more of us there! Isn’t that a real shame.

Wow!.. I didn't realize how many people were involved.. Yep, they got me too. It seems like once my 30 day probationary period was over, everything stopped!.. No communication from Sylvia. No communication from Emily in the payroll department!.. This really has me pissed off!

I have no more packages I send them all out. should I still contact the police about it ?

The same happened to me my probation period was over on 19 December that said the check was mailed out 19 December still waiting been email and try to call no reply

I wonder how many of us there are. And the CRM site has been unavailable now for a couple of weeks. I messaged "Sylvia" many times regarding my "missing check" and how this whole thing was starting to look real sketchy, and she always replied with encouragement. Whatever their scam is, I really don't get what purpose we served other then free labor. I contacted my local police department and they said there was nothing they could really do. Seems like there should be something we can do, especially as a group.

Same here

Wow, their game was done across the United States. So, maybe the people we sent packages to were part of their same as well! I kept copies of everything I received and mailed, including mailing out documents. I kept all emails from these people as well. I have looking for my check for over three weeks and today while looking for information on ORWOX I found this scam information

We work for the company to same old same old check was sent out had to wait 10 days to receive 10 working days to receive the check so we contacted no check received all those cancel that one out reissue another one still haven't received that one bunch of scammers so I hopefully we won't get in trouble any of us for having that stuff shipped to us and our name and ship two people that were supposed to be getting this I know we did a lot and there was a lot of money involved in it

Federal Trade Commission Report. California Attorney General Office Referred. None have heard of the company before and had no record of complaints. Make them now. Perhaps with US Postal Inspection Service and Credit Bureau-Trans Union to protect your name. Other credit bureaus will be notified, too.

Orwox rep. contacted me via e-mail and offered me a warehouse operatives job on a working from home basis, I signed a contract sent to me on docusign , my job was to receive parcels from seller, do inspection and re-send them to the buyer on behalf of the Orwox. my agreement states that I receive $2200 on successful completion of 30 days probation period. I finished this period and have e-mails from them stating that a paycheck was sent to my address, but it was never received.I am unable to reach them and their database is shutdown.

WOW, same thing happened to me on November 2019 and I still have not received my payroll check!

I applied through Indeed.com for a Warehouse Operative. I was contacted by an Asian man saying he was from HR at Orwox and wanted to interview me for the job. He asked several questions and then said he would send to the hiring manager for approval. I received a return call from him 3 hours later saying I was hired and Sylvia Fontana would contact me regarding training. Sylvia contacted me told me about the position and send training documents via email. She also send HR email address for me to contact them to get set up, which seemed odd. I was to receive packages, open, take pictures and upload them to a CRM tool. Then I would receive via the tool a packing slip and label to send the package out. First package was a backpack. I did as trained and sent it on. Next package was an $900 iPad. I could see where it came from and tried to contact the business to assure the order was valid and not on a stolen credit card. I had concerns this was a scam as the process seemed very strange that these orders would go to someone first before going to the person who ordered them. The order came from an ebay store and I contacted ebay as well, they took a report to investigate it further. After doing further research I came across some sites that said this was a scam and I should report it to FBI or local police. I contacted my local police and they came out took a report and took the package as evidence. They told me not to receive or send any other packages. I then got another notification from Sylvia that there was another package on the way. I told her the police said this was a scam and they had the ipad as evidence. She was surprised. Next package arrived I contacted the police officer and they picked it up as well. Again another very expensive item.

This is a SCAM and if you were to continue doing this you could be caught and do jail time. It is a federal felony.

Wow... They got me, too...

WOW, Sylvia Fontana made it so real. So did Human Resources employees Stephen Williams and Cantrell.

Reese Village is the interviewer and Asst. Manager to Stephen Williams, the HR-Manager. Tom Carpenter is the CEO.

I worked for a company called Orwox as a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, and I was monitored by a supervisor, Sylvia Fontana, during 30 days. My commencement day was on Nov 4, 2019. The payroll department sent me an email that my check was supposed to arrive in the mail within 10 business days. Apparently, it was sent on the last day of my probation period, Dec 9, 2019. I never received the check and there is no way to communicate with my supervisor, or Emily Cantrell from the Payroll Dpt. During the probation period, I had to file a W-9 form because the first payment was being processed on an Independent Contractor basis, only during the probation time. I provided my SSN within that form. They have my address, contact number, email, and DOB. The duties of the job included to receive and send packages, and work remotely from home updating and uploading information into database (warehouse-crm.net). After waiting 7 business days, on Dec 18, 2019, two detectives knocked on my door informing me that the packages I was receiving contained items that were purchased with a stolen credit card.

We all got caught up in their game. I hope the go to jail. So, I guess we were all recruited in November 2019. So indeed was fake too. Man, I am so upset

Hey Leonel, it looks like there's a whole bunch of us with the same exact experience (see Ehab Durzi and davecrow32 and others). I am davecrow32 (Dave Hansen). My e-mail address is [email protected]. I think we all should band together and fight this. I just don't know how or where to start.

Hi I’m also a victim of never receiving my payroll check. I worked the entire month of November. Sylvia Fontana was my manager I was hired by a gentleman named William. Emily in payroll has claimed my check must be missing in the USPS. We all need to get a labor law attorney to sue and get our monies. Here is my personal email. [email protected]. My name is Ehab Durzi and I was hired through Indeed. I tried to contact Indeed but no luck.
Today is 12/23/2019. I live in Los Angeles

Same game done by same people with me!

Same story here! Worked all of November never received a check. Called
payroll, they said they would void the check previously issued and resend another one. When I asked them to overnight the check to me they said company policy does not allow them to do that. What a scam..

Same here and i have my wife son and sister working on investigating. My son works FBI. My wife labor dept na sister BBB.

Wow...I went thru the same exact thing...I just got a email from payroll telling me I successfully completed the probation period and my check was in the mail...I filed a police report but haven't heard anything back yet...I'm scared the I'm gonna be in a world of trouble over this...any suggestions?

I've been apply for jobs through CareerBuilder and Sylvia Fontana from Orwox contacted me offering me an at home packaging position my responsibilities was my work hours are from 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday I am to report and inspect the package when its delivered upload pictures of the old label (which comes in someone else number but has my address) and the items in the package to the CRM system then Sylvia will send me the new package label( which would say I'm the sender and a different person will be receiving the package) that i replace the old one with and ship the package and I get paid at the end of the month $2200 now I've done an phone interview so i didn't think nothing of it. I was sent a username and password to log in my account onto the CRM system but when i go on the website i cant login it only works through the email she sent me when i call the company number no one ever picks up then Sylvia sent me a payroll setup email I had to email [email protected] and i had to include the following in my email full name employee status my position my supervisor name and that I'm requesting for payroll enrollment and so i did and i receive an responds and they sent me a w-9 which was really weird. It’s been a week since they “mailed” my check out. And I still have got nothing. I was given the same information by Sylvia Fontana!

Same thing and still didn’t get paid!

This is a scam and you should report it to your local police department. I found information on another site and potentially you could be liable and it is a federal crime with jail time. If you have packages that have not gone out report it to your police department, they will or should come get the package for further investigation. DO NOT SEND ANY OTHER PACKAGES OUT.

Im doing the same.thing..any updates

have a friend who did this for a month as stated didn't get paid & found she was shipping stolen merchandise. Had to file a police report because its attached to her name address & social! They change their name & website every few months. Be careful

Any updates?

Yes, this is the same exact thing that I’m doing. Everything you just explained is exactly what they stated to me for me to do. So now I’m questioning myself is this a scam?
